Scrapbook

Since I don't often post here much, I suppose I'll just put the majority of my traditional artwork in my Scrapbook, since most of it is just sketches anyway. If I ever decide to do anything more to the items I put there, I'll put them somewhere else.

I recently went to CANterlot, a brony convention in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. There I commissioned three talented artists. My current profile pic is by :iconallanah: allanah and is of my OC, Game Play.
I also just received my commissioned plushie by Sweet Kiwi Design, which is a highly accurate, cute, tall physical manifestation of GP.
Eventually I'll post pictures of all three commissions, giving proper credit to the artists.
For now, though, I must attempt to catch up with my Computer Sciences (aka programming) class! Tata!

So, I'm setting up a site for a webcomic. Yup, you heard me, a webcomic. I, the person who barely has any Deviations that are completely original. I decided to do this after so many years (well, maybe a few) of reading great, excellent, and, to put it plainly, pure awesome comics put online by generous authors who merely ask for donations to keep them going every now and then (and some who don't even do that, and just put up their comics for freeness).

I haven't posted any comics yet, because I'm still getting the site set up, but I'll post the link to the comic just in case you want to subscribe via RSS or bookmark it for when I start posting.

The site is here: unrealcircumstances.thecomicse…

Me=spontaneous Journal entries. Don't even know if anybody reads these, but, meh...

So, two things. My music style has changed from whatever it was before (I'm all over the place, LOL) to Christian Metal. Now, those of you who are going "WHAT!?!?" I tell you this: yes, it's real, and it's to be expected, as Christians have found a place in every musical genre out there - I just haven't found them all yet. xD

My top two favourite bands are, in order, Demon Hunter and Underoath. Underoath I started listening to first, as I liked The Almost's song "Southern Weather" from way back, and I learned that the lead singer/drummer/guitarist/whatever dude of that band used to be a part of a band called Underoath. So, upon checking them out, I immediately put the whole of their latest album, Ø (Disambiguation) onto my 8GB iPT 2G, despite the fact that I'm running out of space.

Then, I was at a Christian bookstore with my Grandmother who was visiting from across Canada when I saw the Demon Hunter albums. Seeing them immediately triggered memories of my cousin telling me of this great band, and my skeptical reaction to what I thought to be just another screamo band. Well, I listened to just a few tracks at the bookstore (they had these computers with samples of every single song from every single album they had, which must have been in the hundreds...) and I was hooked. The album I listened to was actually a collection of their first 3 albums, called "Death, A Destination". So, naturally, I bought it, and proceeded to delete some Bar 9 (dubstep) songs - who needs 70+ tracks from the same artist, especially of dubstep? Adding those took up the remaining space on my iPod, but it was worth it.

Second item for today is actually quite brief: I'm getting the 3DS. From the moment I first read all the details, and knew it wasn't just another iteration of the DS, I fell in love with it (well, okay, not really, I'm not weird like that, falling in love with inanimate objects... really...).

I likely won't have enough money to purchase any 3DS games when I get the system (I'm poor, I know), so for now, if you want to play me in some Pokémon White... you'll have to wait a bit, as I don't have it just yet. ;) But when I do get it, which should hopefully be right alongside the 3DS ($35 for a DS game compared to the price of a new 3DS game is something I can afford) then look for me on the PokéCommunity forums. My username there is FuRrY321, but be warned: I will only befriend you/play you if you are friendly and control your tongue (that is, don't have the same foul mouth that a typical teenager/young adult has nowadays).

That is all.

I saw this movie today, good 3D movie! However, I think that this and "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" are Disney's attempt to show what they can do with the new 3D technology, as there isn't much meat on either of them to convince you to buy the regular DVD (or Blu-ray).

Once 3DTVs become more popular (and less expensive), I can foresee movies such as this becoming the norm. As it is now, however, see it once in the theater once, and don't bother with the DVD unless you have little children.
